Texas Food Truck Showdown History
Founded in 2015 by the Greater Waco Chamber of Commerce, the Texas Food Truck Showdown was the first state-wide food truck competition in Texas. What began as an ambitious event featuring 35 food trucks and welcoming more than 15,000 attendees quickly exceeded expectations and earned strong community support. Over the years, the Showdown has grown into one of Waco’s signature spring events, welcoming up to 40 food trucks from across the country and attracting more than 25,000 attendees annually. Today, it continues to celebrate culinary creativity, community engagement, and downtown Waco’s vibrant culture.
